Specifications include, but are not limited to: As University of Kentucky HealthCare (“UKHC”) considers strategic changes to its Supply Chain operations and welcomes King’s Daughters Health (“KDMC”) into the system, it desires to establish one revised and restructured relationship with a national Group Purchasing Organization (“GPO”). The objective of the RFP will be to assess the long-term financial and operational value that can be provided by qualified GPOs to UKHC in order to identify areas for improvement and potential conversion. UKHC’s objective for this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for GPO services includes an overall financial evaluation of the potential relationship and a detailed understanding of the services the offeror is proposing to UKHC along with the cost (or value) of these services if offered at no additional expense to UKHC. The following elements shape the evaluation of each response: • Evaluate the total Return on Investment (“ROI”) for the program the offeror is proposing for UKHC with consideration for labor costs, product and services portfolio cost savings, contract administration fees, manufacturer rebates, additional costs for services (e.g., spend analytics), and any other potential costs or revenues associated with the program or delivery of services to the UKHC members. • Understand, in detail, the scope of the offeror’s program for UKHC including business structure, resources, implementation timeframe from both the offeror and UKHC, and scope of services.
