General Description: Base – Bottom Layer • Six-point star, 66mm diameter top point to bottom point, double domed. • Each star tip has a half-round integrated ball. • Each point of the star has an arrowhead with sunburst rays extending to each inner edge of point. • Outer edge of each star point has a serrated border. • Inner star point border is raised with a smooth surface. Middle Layer • Center layer is a round disc banner, 38mm diameter. • Top portion of ring (centered top banner) to read: DPS Forensic Services or UTAH DEPT of PUBLIC SAFETY – Crime Lab. • Bottom of ring (centered bottom banner) to read: • RANK (see rank and job title list). • Lettering is 5mm high block style (no serifs), black hard-fired enamel.
