Specifications include, but are not limited to: Complete a statewide scoping of equity needs in Utah, as it applies to mitigation activities, and programs in Utah. Evaluate how to add more equity into our current DEM mitigation programs. Develop strategies that are workable to add more equity into our programs. Develop a Utah Equity tool to assist us in adding more equity into our programs and grants. Incorporate the Federal Just 40, and other pertinent equity tools into our equity programs and tools Currently, there are several national equity tools with varying types of equity measures. Review those tools to see if any part of their equity measures assists Utah in its quest to show the true equity issues in Utah. Incorporate those tool features into the Utah equity tool that applies to equity in Utah. Produce equity outreach materials. Other equity activities may need to be done to ensure we take a comprehensive look at equity for Utah and can implement changes to move toward more equity in our programs and services.
