Specifications include, but are not limited to: ▪ Obliteration of roadway pavement markings with vacuum recovery and in a manner that does not damage the pavement surface, whether the surface is asphalt or Portland Cement concrete. ▪ Installation of roadway pavement markings in paint, thermoplastic, preformed thermoplastic, preformed roadway pavement marking (tape), or other material, as may be required on asphalt or Portland Cement concrete, including, but not limited to long lines, short lines, legends, and arrows. This can include different colored markings, such as bike green. ▪ Installation of Raised Pavement Markings (RPMs), as may be required by plans, schematics, and traffic engineering direction. ▪ Ability to understand and follow plans and/or schematics, Traffic Engineering direction, and City of Tucson standards, and ability and willingness to lay out pavement markings. ▪ Ability to conduct work at any hour of the day, as may be required. ▪ Ability to clean and prep the pavement surface prior to installation, if necessary, for the proper adhesion of the markings to pavement surface. This can include sweeping. ▪ The use of proper traffic control procedures per City and Federal requirements. This involves obtaining a COT Right-of-Way (ROW) Permit. ▪ Ability to install various street signage. ▪ Restriping of parking space lines as needed. ▪ Deep clean of existing markings as needed. For example, cleaning of existing green markings (paint and/or thermoplastic).
