Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 The Cabinet shall conform to the requirements of CalTrans’ TEES (¶ 2.1). Where differences occur between CalTrans’ specification and this specification, this specification shall govern. 3.2 The Cabinet shall be assembled to the configuration described in TEES A6-1 drawings for Cabinet Housing 2. These configurations may be altered at the time that they are ordered. 3.2.1 The Pole-Mounted 336 Cabinet with minimal facilities: The Cabinet will be used for general ITS applications. It will have a contiguously welded bottom plate keeping water and dirt out of the cabinet and a pole mounting bracket. The Cabinet will not have a police panel. 3.2.2 The Pole Mounting Bracket must mount to a 17-inch diameter pole. Bracket must be able to be secured to the pole using ¾-inch stainless steel banding. 3.3 All hardware shall be included for installation of all components into the Cabinet. 3.4 The Cabinet shall be assembled prior to shipment and packaged according to the TEES (¶ 2.1) requirements. Each cabinet, accessories, and options shall be packaged as a single unit and placed on a single pallet. The miscellaneous accessories, including the plug-in modules, cables, and documentation shall be packaged as required for shipping and placed in the cabinet. The components for each system should be installed in the cabinet or packaged on the cabinet pallet. Do not mix components from different systems. Each Cabinet shall be covered with an appropriate slipcover cardboard box, or similar protection covering. The cabinet cover shall be labeled with a minimum of the following: Manufacturer’s name and location manufactured, manufacturing lot and/or date manufactured cabinet configuration identification (e.g., “336 Cabinet”). (See TEES Ch 6). The Cabinet shall be finished in compliance with CalTrans’ TEES (¶ 2.1) and coated with clear Anti-Graffiti Paint to produce a protected, natural aluminum appearance.
