Specifications include, but are not limited to: - Remove the mixed conifer stands in the Mill Creek Canyon Watershed to reduce fire intensity and spread potential. - Connect natural barriers and aspen groves into a fuel break network that provides protective buffers around communities and infrastructure; reduces the risk of catastrophic wildfires to crucial fish and wildlife habitat and populations, drinking water quality and quantity, and recreation opportunities; and the improves the sustainability of natural resources in the greater Tri Canyon area. - Improve safety for local private property users, forest visitors, and firefighters by compartmentalizing unwanted fires to smaller areas and providing fuel breaks that can be quickly converted to control lines during fire suppression operations.
