Specifications include, but are not limited to: SITE 1: This site is located approximately 450 linear feet north of Debbie Drive. The repair along the roadway is approximately 100 feet in length. (See Drawings.) Drainage The contractor shall Jack and Bore 100’ of 24” steel pipe under US 49 to divert storm drain flow away from the existing drain (see drawings). A new curb and gutter inlet shall be constructed on the east end of this pipe, which will require a cut-out of curb & gutter and asphalt shoulder. A 24” concrete pipe running parallel with the roadway will be tied into this inlet. (The remaining parallel pipe between the new and old inlet is to be removed.) The out-flow pipe from this inlet will be a 24” concrete pipe. It will be approximately 24 feet in length and will extend out of the soil nail wall. (Coordination will be required between the soil nail crew and the drainage crew for the placement of this outflow pipe in the nail wall.) The existing pipe and drainage structures are to be filled with flowable fill. (Prior to flowable fill, the tops of the existing inlets are to be removed.) Soil Nail Retaining Wall The contractor shall construct a Soil Nail Retaining Wall as per the 907-825 Special Provision in the proposal. This wall will be approximately 100 feet in length. See Drawings); SITE 2: This site is approximately 475 feet south of Majestic Oakes Dr. The repair length along the roadway is 350 feet in length. Drainage The Contractor shall remove and replace the broken section of a 4X4 box culvert with a new section of equal length (approximately 20’). This will include a collar, wingwall, parapet, apron, and toe wall. (Prior to the placement of the new section, the end of the remaining section of the box will have to be squared-up.) 300 # Rip-Rap will be placed on the ditch slopes at the outlet of the box. Borrow material shall be placed over the existing box to repair the eroded slope. Steel Piling The contractor shall install HP 14X73 Steel Piling. Piles will be driven at offsets and spacing as shown on the drawings (50’ length on 4’ spacing). The piles shall be driven vertically (no splicing of the piles will be allowed). The piles shall be Grade 50. The pile type is a minimum requirement., and larger section piling may be used. (See Drawings); SITE 3: This site is approximately 700 feet north of Majestic Oakes Dr. The repair length along the roadway is 330 feet in length. Drainage The contactor shall remove the existing separated flared end section. A new 30” flared section shall be installed along with a toe wall. (A collar may be necessary to attach the new FES to the existing pipe.) Steel Piling The contractor shall install HP 14X73 Steel Piling. Piles will be driven at offsets and spacing as shown on the drawings (50’ length on 4’ spacing). The piles shall be driven vertically (no splicing of the piles will be allowed). The piles shall be Grade 50. The pile type is a minimum requirement, and larger section piling may be used. (See Drawings)
