Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide the services listed in accordance with this proposal and Quality Control Checklists and Rest Area Inspection Report. 2. The Summer schedule is defined as May 1 through October 31(6 months). The Winter schedule is defined as November 1 through April 30(6 months). 3. Materials and Workmanship: The Contractor shall perform all work and furnish all supplies and materials, machinery, equipment, facilities, and means necessary to complete all the work required by this solicitation, within the time specified, in accordance with the provisions as specified. 4. Contractor shall provide all necessary mowing and snow removal equipment, cleaning and consumable supplies and minor building maintenance required maintaining the rest area shown on the maps. 5. Contractor shall maintain sufficient equipment as to provide the neat and orderly appearance required by the Secretary of Transportation (KDOT). KDOT wishes to establish a turn-key relationship with the Contractor for all services, including janitorial, mowing and snow removal. 6. KDOT will perform all major rest area maintenance repairs or replacements. These items include, but are not limited to: light fixtures, lavatory fixtures and commodes, electrical wiring, utility lines, and any other major repairs considered necessary for operation of the rest area. 7. KDOT will be responsible for the exterior maintenance of the comfort station, except painting. KDOT will remove snow from the rest area ramps and parking areas.
