Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1 “Service” includes emptying containers, repairing containers, and the collection and disposition of the contents of containers according to the contractually specified schedule. 2.1.2 Containers will be maintained in functioning condition and good, clean appearance. Selected Offeror will respond in a timely manner and within ten (10) business days, to requests from YC to fix a broken or malfunctioning container or to clean up an unsightly container. When requested by YC or when required by sanitary conditions, the containers shall be thoroughly cleaned or removed by the vendor and replaced with new or refurbished containers. 2.1.3 Minor repairs to containers such as broken wheels or lids shall be repaired or replaced by the Selected Offeror within five (5) business days. 2.1.4 The Selected Offeror will ensure that collection sites are kept clean of loose trash that might fall out of the containers during collection. 2.1.5 The selected Offeror shall take all possible precautions to protect YC property, buildings, vehicles, roads, parking areas, and other spaces accessed by Selected Offeror as necessary during the provision of services as specified within the RFP. The Offeror agrees to repair, at the Offeror’s sole expense, any damages caused by Offeror’s employees, agents, subcontractors, or other affiliates. Any damages must be reported to the Facilities Department (928-717-7694, facility@yc.edu) within twenty-four (24) hours after the occurrence. Offeror understands and accepts that a failure to report damages to YC in a timely manner or repeated damages may result in a re-evaluation or termination of any contract between YC and Offeror. 2.1.6 Offeror shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment and incidentals required for the complete and satisfactory performance of trash collection services at the frequencies specified for each location. 2.1.7 All trash and waste provided by YC to Offeror will be disposed of in accordance with all federal, state, county, city, and EPA laws, rules, and regulations. 2.1.8 All work shall be performed according to the standards of the industry, and to the complete satisfaction of YC. 2.1.9 All of the Selected Offeror’s vehicles shall be clearly identified as such and maintained in a neat and sanitary condition.
