Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Public Safety, Aircraft Section is soliciting for as-needed R44 Raven I and Raven II flight training and qualification services. While the state does not guarantee a minimum or maximum number of students per year, the state estimates approximately 4-6 students per year. When training is scheduled, an estimation of the required days to complete training shall be provided. Each training day shall be a full working day to include in-class and/or flight training. The Contractor must be able to provide the following training: • Initial Private Pilot Helicopter • Helicopter Private Pilot Add-on Course • R44 SFAR 73 Transition Course for helicopter rated pilots • Commercial Helicopter • CFI- Flight Instructor Certification Course Minimal standards and specific curriculum of classroom and practical hands-on flight training: 1. Flight training shall be conducted in the R44 Raven I, Raven II, and R44 flight simulator. 2. Training shall be conducted in accordance with IAW 14 CFR Part 61 SFAR 73. 3. The initial qualification course shall include flight time required in IAW 14 CFR Part 61. 4. Successful completion of the flight and ground training courses shall result in a pilot endorsement for the requirements of the respective course such as private pilot helicopter, commercial helicopter or Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), helicopter and practical FAA examination 5. Completion documentation shall be provided such as an official record of training at course completion. Textbooks, aircraft insurance, and examiner fee shall be included. Student housing is not required.
