Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Contractor will provide a dumpster, and the existing roofing will be torn off down to the wood deck and hauled away. • A 6’ strip of ice and water protective underlayment will be installed to the wood deck on the eave edges and in the valley. • A synthetic roofing felt will be nailed to the wood deck as underlayment. • New 24-gauge drip metal will be installed at the roof edges, new metal will have a 12” strip of ice and water protective underlayment installed over the top at the eave edge. • New 24-gauge w-style valley metal will be installed in the valley areas. • New pre-cut starter shingles will be installed at eave edges of roof. • New architectural style asphalt shingles will be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. The new shingles will be fastened with six nail (not staples) per shingle for increased wind resistance. All nails to be galvanized, large-head, roofing nails. • Roof ridges will be covered with a weatherproof ridge vent. • Inspect and replace any deteriorated wood decking. Contractor to provide per sq. ft. pricing for any plywood deck replacement.
