Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project begins 0.16 miles east of intersection of Granite Hill Road in Manchester and extends easterly 1.52 miles to a point 0.14 miles east of the intersection Prescott Road in the City of Augusta. MaineDOT is currently in Plan Impacts Complete (PIC) design stage with a draft PIC plan set in development. The Department intends to develop and finalize recommendations resulting from the contractor input design process and will advance designs to the Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) stage for advertising in the 2nd quarter of 2025. This project specific prequalification invites input from the contracting community to help achieve key project goals of schedule, traffic control during construction, reducing bidder’s risk, and reducing cost. The project location and scope of work are significant requiring anticipation and understanding of design, contract requirements, access, and construction impacts. The review process will focus on, but is not limited to, the follow key areas: Rubblization or removal of concrete pavement below the existing bituminous pavement Constructability and sourcing of materials Construction phasing and timing Maintenance of traffic during construction
