Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Finance & Administration Cabinet, Division of Engineering & Contract Administration (DECA) is seeking professional design services for the Department of Parks. This scope should not be considered all-inclusive or limiting for the design considerations. Parks requests improvement recommendations in the following areas: 1) Site Utility services to include full hookup for electric, water and sewer. Electric at pedestal should be minimum of 50/30/20-amp service with GFI protection. Pedestals should not be shared. All water and sewer connections should accommodate frost free operation. Water and sewer Infrastructure upgrades should also be freeze proof. 2) Pad site minimum of 20 x 60 feet. All utilities should be appropriately located and not more than 5 feet from pad edge. Pad should be level with consideration of water runoff and drainage. Site should have 45-degree angles at site entrance from road. Combining of small sites may be considered for pull-thru operation. 3) Each pad site should have an adjoining living area space. Dimension should be 256 sq. ft. minimum and be of same material and grade as the pad base. Each site should include a fire ring, lantern post, and approved commercial grade picnic table. 4) Campground traffic pattern and flow should be evaluated for ease of access to sites, turn radiuses to accommodate large truck/trailer/RV units, access to sewer dump stations. Roadway and pedestrian lighting should be thoughtfully designed to assist traffic and travel but not be overly intrusive to campsites. 5) Overhead utility connections must meet NEC requirements and be high enough not to interfere or present hazards to any RV type. 6) Recommendations for campground amenities including special features, bathhouses and other guest experience enhancements
