Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City seeks qualifications from experienced, compliant with applicable and licensing for the profession, and otherwise qualified firms to provide broker-of-record and consulting services for the City’s employee benefits programs including, but not limited to, the City’s following programs: • Health Insurance (US/Mexico Plan & Mexico Only Plan) • Voluntary Dental Insurance (US/Mexico Plan & Mexico Only Plan) • Voluntary Vision Insurance • Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance • Short-Term and Long • Section 125 Flexible Spending Accounts • COBRA - third party administration • FMLA administration • Wellness Plan • Telemedicine • Employee Assistance Program • Voluntary Supplemental coverage • Stop Loss Insurance • Other Ancillary Benefits as Deemed Appropriate The broker/consultant selected will provide a full range of consulting and brokerage services in cooperation with the City staff and management. The broker/consultant will assist the City, by performing a full range of services related to the design, implementation, maintenance, communication, and improvement of the City of San Luis group medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, life insurance coverage and other various benefits as listed above. The broker/consultant will be expected to provide services including, but not limited to, the following: ▪ ADMINISTERING ALL GROUP INSURANCE PLANS, RESPONDING TO QUESTIONS FROM AND PROVIDING INFORMATION TO STAFF, AND PROVIDING OTHER CONSULTING SERVICES DURING THE COURSE OF THE PLAN YEAR. ▪ REVIEWING CLAIMS EXPERIENCE, CLAIM SERVICE, AND CLAIM ADMINISTRATION TO ENSURE MAXIMUM BENEFIT TO THE CITY. ▪ DETERMINING AND RECOMMENDING THE MOST ECONOMICAL FUNDING METHODS FOR THE BENEFIT PROGRAMS.
