Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Replace Broken Gate - The contractor will replace the broken existing gate with a new gate. The existing gate is a 12-inch diameter Waterman P-30ff Slide Gate. The new gate will be an Orbinox ET Series 20 Knife Gate with an EPDM seat. The contractor will need to make adjustments to the existing outlet works so that the new gate aligns properly with the existing gate stem. Work in 2014 included an extension pipe for installation of the slide gate. This extension will require modification for attachment of the new gate. The gate will need to be aligned and permanently attached to the existing gate stem for proper operation. Manufacturer’s specifications are attached for both gates. 2. Install “Burrito” Drain - A drain trench will be installed at the top of the slope between the parking area and outlet works. This drain will extend along the top of the slope to intercept and collect the seepage water that is currently surfacing and running down the slope. The drawings show the burrito drain layout and describe the materials for the system. In general, the system consists of perforated ADS N-12 pipe surrounded by 1-inch sewer rock, which is all encased in a geotextile material. The work will also include installation of solid ADS N-12 pipe to convey and discharge the collected water through a new concrete terminal structure. 3. Seal Leaking Drain Pipe - The existing drain system includes a pipe through the existing concrete terminal structure that leaks on the outside of the pipe. The end of the pipe on the buried side of the wall will need to be excavated and cleaned so that the connection can be sealed with an appropriate sealant. Work will also include replacing excavated materials to match the existing layout.
