Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vendors must be prequalified for work item E1 – Bridges not more than 70 ft. Clear Span through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Division of Construction Procurement. Certain aspects of work may be subbed to another contractor if necessary. The contractor performing the work shall be prequalified for that work through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s Division of Construction Procurement. For example joint work requires a contractor prequalified for I16 – Bridge Repair and overlays requires I17- Bridge Deck Repair. Except as provided herein, conform to all requirements of the Transportation Cabinet/Department of Highways’ Current Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Section references are to the Standard Specifications. Submit Shop Drawings that are required by plans and specifications directly to the Division of Structural Design. If any changes in the design plans are proposed by the fabricator or supplier, submit those changes to the Department through the Contractor.
