Specifications include, but are not limited to: TARC has a collective bargaining agreement with ATU Local 1447. The selected firm(s) or individual(s) may be requested to provide advice or counsel regarding the contract negotiation process. Additionally, counsel will play a strong role in preparing for, advising and presenting cases taken to arbitration and/or mediation. Additional work will be focused on new and existing laws, regulations, and issues related to all aspects of labor and employment law. 3.2.0 Approximately 507 employees, all hourly, are represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 1447. Proposers should indicate experience with labor and employment matters in public transit or public sector. 3.2.1 Counsel and participate in selected labor situations such as the grievance process, mediation and contract administration, interpretation and negotiation. Proposer should indicate experience with labor arbitrations, with specific reference to procedures utilized by the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service or the Louisville Labor - Management
