Specifications include, but are not limited to: The IT and S.E.D. Dept. structural engineering involves the saw cutting of various sized openings for doors and windows in the existing concrete tilt up panels making up both interior and exterior building walls. A RISA 3D analysis will be done to calculated the building loading (gravity, wind, and seismic). Once the loading at each wall panel is understood, that loading will be then placed on opening steel frames to determine the required frame to reinforce each opening. The loading shown at each wall will be used in its entirety on the reinforcement frames, though in actuality the concrete walls will transfer some of this load around the frames. This will produce conservative results. Additionally, due to RISA results and existing rebar in the panels, McKenzie has limited the locations and spacing of the openings to ensure that out of plane loading on the concrete panels is adequate without reinforcement.
