Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this project is to secure a modern public record request system that accepts online payments, supports deflection to direct the public to the appropriate office to make the request, and provides an overall increased level of customer service. The system must be a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or vendor-hosted solution. For DPS employees, this system will establish an efficient tracking, redaction, and management process for employees fulfilling records requests. DPS will use this service to satisfy the statutory requirement of fulfilling Alaska Public Records Act requests in 10 business days. This service must be able to support at least eight administrative users (full access) and 20+ additional users. This service will be used whenever a member of the public submits a public information request. This service will greatly improve DPS’ ability to manage requests, perform redactions, provide consistent messaging and responses, improve audit trails, and allow for greater customer service when adhering to the various statutes that govern public records release.
