Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Court-Appointed Conservator shall: • Maintain, safeguard, and insure the property • Develop a preliminary plan for abatement of the conditions which will cause the petition to be granted • Contract for the repair and maintenance of the structure • Obtain construction permits • If necessary, borrow money for the costs or rehabilitation/restoration of the building, including the purchase of the materials, goods, and supplies to accomplish repairs of the structure • If needed, obtain public grants or loans • Renew or enter contracts providing for insurance coverage of the structure • Engage and pay legal, accounting, appraisal, and other professionals necessary to aid the Conservator in the conduct of the Conservatorship. • Consult with Historic Preservation on preserving the properties historic nature, if it has been deemed a historic structure • Submit a preliminary plan to the court and all interested parties at start of project and every 6 months • Execute the preliminary plan • Market and sell the structure
