Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Each morning upon beginning of duty, the guard(s) shall make a complete inspection of the interior and exterior of the warehouse, giving special attention to walls, windows, fences, gates, and roll-up doors, and shall report any indications of possible trespass and any damages to the facilities to the FTZ No. 9. 2. Guard(s) shall unlock and lock entrance door(s) as required by FTZ No. 9 before and after office hours. 3. Guard(s) shall check all persons and vehicles entering and leaving the FTZ No. 9 with merchandise against documentation papers such as delivery receipts, Permit of Delivery receipts, transit memos and pallet receipts. 4. Guard(s) shall log in and out on “Vehicle Movement Thru Zone” (VMTZ) form for every vehicle entering and leaving the FTZ No. 9. 5. Guard(s) shall require all persons not holding FTZ No. 9 ID cards, except uniformed Federal employees, and requesting entry into the FTZ No. 9, to sign in and out on the visitor log (VL) and to wear a visitor badge. 6. A roving guard shall patrol storage areas, receiving/delivery areas, the marshalling yard, roadways, and parking lots. Said roving guard shall be responsible for traffic flow and direction in accordance with the pattern set by FTZ No. 9 and shall make complete inspections of the interior and exterior of the warehouse on a frequent basis. The roving guard shall keep all persons out of the storage areas before and after normal work hours and during the lunch break, except those having specific permission from the FTZ No. 9 to be there. 7. The guard(s) shall approach unauthorized persons on or near the FTZ No. 9 premises and direct them to proper destination or refer them to appropriate FTZ No. 9 personnel. 8. Guard(s) shall contact Fire Department, Police and/or Ambulance in event of emergency or any matter beyond the authority of the guard(s). 9. Guard(s) shall perform other duties as required in the FTZ No. 9’s standard operating procedures.
