Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed addition to ADE’s Principals’ Leadership Academy currently intends to provide in-depth professional supports to new and experienced Arizona principals in the form of principal coaches. This cohort-based professional learning opportunity intends to build principal leadership capacity to support and retain teachers and school-level leadership. Specifically, Principals’ Leadership Academy Plus anticipates developing principal knowledge, skills, and strategies by: • Providing extended learning opportunities to take a deeper dive into PLA content by adding an additional two hours to each training session. • Coaching principals to develop and implement carefully selected evidence-based leadership practices. • Teaching skills and knowledge aligned to the National Principal Supervisor standards (2015) and Arizona Principal Supervisor Professional Standards.
