Specifications include, but are not limited to: Energy Audit – The energy audit for this facility will be limited to the interior lighting only and the audit analysis should include the following: • Analysis of building and utility data, including a study of the installed equipment and analysis of energy bills. • A survey of real operating conditions. • Understanding of the building behavior and of its interactions with weather, occupancy and operating schedules • An estimation of energy savings potential. • “Line-by-line” fixture schedule of the existing fixtures and the proposed replacement fixtures. The Norwich Public Utilities incentive for this project is 25% of the total cost. Lighting Retrofit – The selected contractor shall provide a complete turnkey solution, including, but not limited to materials, labor and maintenance and disposal of existing lighting. Old fixtures, ballasts and lamps must be removed from the project site and disposed of or recycled in accordance with all applicable Federal, state and local regulations. The selected contractor shall be responsible for obtaining the necessary permits to perform the required work. The City portion of permit fees will be waived. The contractor will only be responsible for the State’s fees. All replacement fixtures and tubes shall be DLC or Energy Star rated products. The replacement interior lighting system must be capable of the following: • Networking of the luminaires and devices • Occupancy sensing • Daylight harvesting All work shall be performed during normal business working hours, schedule to be approved by the City prior to the start of construction. The contractor and the City shall coordinate the location of a lay down area or storage container location. The contractor will remove all debris from the work areas on a daily basis.
