All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The mix shall be hydrated in a single step using pre-filtered tap water and come rapidly to equilibrium, allowing animals and plants to be added immediately. After mixing, seawater shall contain zero ammonia, zero nitrates and less than 0.1 ppm phosphates at 30 ppt salinity. B. The mix shall support life of most marine plants and animals. C. The mix shall be packaged in waterproof containers weighing up to 43.5 lbs. each or packaged in waterproof 2550 pound bulk bags (Supersacks). Bulk bags shall be covered in plastic to protect material from the elements. Containers shall be stacked on pallets and secured with packaging wrap. D. If liftgates are required, the City shall notify Awarded Bidder of this requirement at time of ordering and shall include this requirement on the Purchase Order. E. The Awarded Bidder shall not deviate from or substitute the requirements of the sea salt as shown in Exhibit A Composition of Seawater. The Awarded Bidder guarantees that the composition of the sea salt shall meet the manufacturer’s requirements in Exhibit A.
