Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall supply the following parts and equipment for the Tucson Water Department on as on needed basis. Contractor shall provide the purchase of chemical resistant parts and supplies from ½” to 2” diameter pipes and components such as adaptors, caps, 45-degree joints, 90-degree joints, bushings, tees, elbows, crosses, nipples, couplings, plugs, unions, reducers, y-strainers, gaskets, ball valves, check valves, butterfly valves, gate valves, diaphragm valves, vacuum breakers, and pressure regulators in various types of ends such as male iron pipe thread (MIP), female iron pipe (FIP), and SLIP joints. The materials should include all chemical-resistant plastics, such as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), in schedule 40 and schedule 80 wall thicknesses. In addition, Tucson Water may use other chemical-resistant plastics such as Polypropylene, Polyethylene, and Polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) tubing. Tucson Water will also need chemical/solution containers and storage tanks from 50 to 500 gallons for on-site storage and vehicle transportation of chemicals.
