Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. • COLT is the only statewide service center for the land conservation organizations who propose Forest Legacy Projects and work collaboratively with ODF and USFS to acquire properties. COLT is already a central communication hub across the State, and represents 32 organizations, ranging from hyper-local organizations, to regional land trusts to statewide organizations and even national groups (Trust for Public Land, The Nature Conservancy, The Conservation Fund) that have decades of experience implementing Forest Legacy across the nation. COLT pools its expertise and resources to advance strategic conservation initiatives in partnership with local government. • COLT has a track record of providing technical training on the Forest Legacy program, including trainings at our regional conference “Land Camp” and land trust round-tables to strategize on priority areas to prevent the fragmentation and conversion of forest land.
