Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Support the Northern New Mexico Coalition for WBL (“Coalition”) in core Actions such as: • Develop and deploy a youth jobs and internship coordinated campaign to raise awareness of opportunities for diverse youth, amplify the good work already being done, promote existing regional programs and serve as an outreach tool for new employers • Assist the Coalition with developing and implementing an advocacy plan for the upcoming legislative session on behalf of high-quality WBL opportunities for youth, pipeline talent development, and the strengthening of our regional workforce • Plan, organize and facilitate recurring Coalition Steering Committee, executive committee, subcommittee and Action Team meetings • Identify funding opportunities and prepare funding applications • Improve and Align Regional WBL System • Develop a centralized coordination plan to better align the WBL system and braid WBL resources in the Region • Develop template Memorandum of Agreement, articulation agreements and other tools to help formalize relationships between partners, employers, and educational providers • Promote WBL throughout the region by creating and executing a messaging plan for WBL in the region for multiple audiences (including youth, employers, and citizen stakeholders) • Engage, Coordinate, and Support Employers in the NNM WBL Ecosystem: • Facilitate and document the development of and implement a strategy to identify, engage and track employers in the Region to increase their interest in providing or expanding work-based learning opportunities • Create and maintain a database of WBL candidates to support recruitment by employers • Map out a continuum of WBL experiences for employers to provide varied participation options for high-quality WBL experiences to cultivate future employees (e.g. internships, paid trainee) • Provide or coordinate workshops and technical assistance to regional employers to enable them to launch or expand high-quality WBL programs, including researching and drawing from similar workshops and toolkits regionally and nationally • Connect interested employers with existing WBL programs in the Region • Schedule, organize, facilitate and provide written summaries of ten onboarding workshops directed at those identified and interested employers to support them in providing or expanding WBL opportunities. • Engage, Coordinate, and Support Educational Institutions in the NNM WBL Ecosystem: • Outreach and Engage and support 15 high schools and districts and 8 higher education institutions in the Region in providing or expanding high-quality WBL opportunities for their students, including identifying current training available for students and what credentials participants could obtain in coordination with WBL experiences • Increase youth awareness, engagement, and participation of youth in WBL programs by connecting with youth-facing service partners • Improve communication and collaboration among secondary and post-secondary WBL programs, employers and other professional groups to support the development of quality programs: • Identify strengths within the current WBL system in the Region, including connecting with partners/stakeholders to map current providers and identify WBL opportunities aligned with regional priority sectors • Facilitate the sharing and building of knowledge in the Region about best practices in WBL, including: centralizing information for youth and employers, and ensuring youth have access to meaningful work • Interact with chambers of commerce, local governments, tribal governments, workforce connections to be aware of job fairs and WBL opportunities • Partner with the North Central School to Work Transition Team (NCSWTT) to address gaps in placement from high school into workforce for students with disabilities • Facilitate a continuous feedback loop among employers and educational institutions to improve to better prepare WBL participants for employment opportunities in the Region • Develop performance indicators, collect requested WBL data, and produce monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports
