Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Rugged exterior multi-reinforced high cycle door with variable speeds • Door fabric should be a flexible rubber/polyester resistant to petrochemicals of fabric at least ¼” thick and have a full height side lock for a near airtight seal. • Wind rated of up to 27.0 pound per square foot (PSF) when in the down position. Must be able to withstand extreme windspeeds while in motion or closed, even with other doors open creating more wind flow. • Automatically open from inside or outside of building for Metro vehicles using some type of above ground sensors. • Obstruction safety detection system prevent doors from closing on buses, service trucks or cars. • Must be equipped with reversing edge to prevent damage should the door contact the vehicle. • Must be capable of opening manually without electric power. • Signaling device must include led traffic lights (red and green) inside and outside. • The controller should notify Operator of current function or faults the door has encountered. • The controller must include an emergency stop. • The controller must include fused power disconnect. • Any outside wires of cabling must be protected from vandalism. • No drilling or anchoring into concrete slab is permitted due to snow melt system. • A direct drive system using the current 480vac power is preferred. Supplier will install standalone mounted transformer if needed. • Contractor will be responsible for electrical work. • Weatherproof rubber seal at the base that seals against pavement and remains flexible over time.
