Specifications include, but are not limited to: REQUIRED FUNCTIONS (Library’s priority): • Patron Computer (Public PC) Reservation: system that allows patrons to request and staff to manage computer reservations across all Library branches, available on-site and remotely. • Patron Computer (Public PC) Authorization/Management: Windows and Apple-based software to authenticate/authorize patrons to the Library ILS, enforce session time limits, and limit access to certain system functions • Print Management and Pay-for-Print: Manages print queues, patron payment accounts, and print release/payment capabilities with options to set custom fee schedules and waive fees by staff administrators. OPTIONAL FUNCTIONS (Library could consider): • Wireless and Cloud/Remote Printing: Allow patrons using personal devices on-site the self-service ability to manage and pay for print jobs. Online portal to allow patrons to send print jobs from off-site to Library public printers to pay and release print jobs when they arrive at branch location. • Self-service Payment: system that allows payment for printing through multiple options – online portal, patron managed account in print release system, and/or attached self-service cash and credit or debit card payment system. • Scan and photocopy: Integrate with existing printers and photocopiers and allow patrons to copy and scan items to save to removable media or send directly to an email address. • Fax: allows patrons to use scanner or photocopier to capture and fax to external fax numbers
