Specifications include, but are not limited to: In compliance with Idaho Code §67-2806A, the Blaine County Board of Commissioners (the Board) invites qualified consultantsto submit written proposalsto create a comprehensive and implementation- ready Safety Action Plan (SAP) for Blaine County and partner jurisdictions. The SAP aims to improve roadway safety for all road users in Blaine County and the Cities of Bellevue, Carey, Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley. These users include pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation users, motorists, personal conveyance and micro mobility users, and commercial vehicle operators. This planning effort is the result of the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) discretionary grant program, which awarded funds to Blaine County and partner jurisdictions in FY2022. Qualified consultants will be experienced in transportation and mobility planning, land use planning, sustainability, design, and other relevant experience in undertaking innovative planning efforts in a unique mountain and resort community. The plan must reflect the diverse demographic of the community. Work completed will exhibit robust community outreach, rigorous attention to detail, as well as the ability to provide recommendations and concrete implementation strategies to affirm the community’s vision. The plan must prioritize the safety and comfort of all users, including the users of multi-modal transportation.
