Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Bidder’s response shall address each of the following requirements, including strategies, methods, and resources to be utilized to develop a plan for inspection teams to carry out four types of Compliance Inspections according to FDA protocol and standards per contract period: 1700 Department Directed Undercover Buy & Complaint Inspections 275 FDA Directed Follow-Up Undercover Buy Inspections 275 FDA Directed Follow-Up Advertising and Labeling Inspections Continue ongoing efforts to onboard staff throughout all regions of Maine, conduct ongoing training, and maintain effective communication with all field staff. Require the Inspector to conduct the assigned inspections within time restraints, in accordance with trainings, and all TIMS instructions and comments. Ensure Inspectors have available their FDA credentials during all inspections. Inspectors are required to display credentials during an FDA Directed Follow-Up Advertising and Labeling Inspections. Inspectors shall keep their credentials & iPhone in locked storage while not is use during inspections. Prohibit Inspectors from conducting any type of compliance inspections at any retail tobacco establishments owned or operated by a family member. Inspectors are not allowed use an Underaged Purchaser (UP) that is a member of the Inspector’s family. The Bidder will work closely with inspection teams and the Department to ensure all reasonable efforts are made to conduct all assigned inspections within timeframes assigned or with re-assignments. The Bidder and inspectors’ responsibility are to research current operating hours, plan the most cost-effective inspection route and stress the importance of safety at all times.
