Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Training and consultation services to ODHS staff and leadership in the Child Welfare and Self-Sufficiency office in Marion, Polk, and Yamhill counties to support and increase worker retention. The contract period would be for one year. b) Over the course of the last 18 months, the issue of worker retention challenges has been a common topic in almost every type of meeting. In listening sessions with members of the workforce, the overriding theme is the impact that trauma and stress have on the workforce and their ability to stay healthy and support families in need. The effects of stress and trauma at work are well documented and some of the outcomes of the impact of these type of conditions is poor attendance, impacts on the quality of work and high rates of turnover. During the course of this pilot, we will identify several outcomes to track, specifically targeting several identified types of workers. The hypothesis is that if we strategically and intentionally target building worker resilience to stress and trauma in a training and coaching environment, that our retention will improve.
