Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Consulting and planning services for replacement of the City’s existing outdoor warning system with a new, modern, and reliable system. • Contractor assessment of existing siren locations and site characteristics to establish the warning coverage which would be provided by installing new devices at the existing locations. • Contractor assessment of new locations to install warning devices based on current City boundaries, areas of planned growth, and current industry standards and requirements for warning coverage. • Implementation of a new command and control system which will activate, test, and monitor the new outdoor warning system. • Installation and integration with Motorola APX radios (procured separately by the City) at each new warning device cabinet, DMPD control point, and/or other sites recommended by the Contractor. • Removal of existing facilities which are not incorporated into the new outdoor warning system.
