Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Windows- Division 7 A. Remove and replace existing double hung windows located at “A-D” façades. a) A façade- 7 DH windows b) B façade- 2 DH window, c) C façade- 4 DH windows, d) Verify size e) Install interior extension trim/extensions as need to complete interior finish, paint stain as needed. f) Ensure proper vapor berries and insulation at cavities. g) Install all framing to properly set and secure new window h) Paint or stain new or disturbed work i) All windows to be manufactured by Mercury Excelum or Harvey (with energy star glazing package) or an approved equal. j) All units to be white k) All operable units to include full standard fiberglass mesh screens l) Refer to specifications for additional information m) All work to be performed to code requirements 3) Doors A. Replace door weather stripping. a) Located on “A ” façade, front door. 4) Heating and Ventilation A. Relocate Existing Dryer a) Relocate existing dryer duct and exhaust to exterior i) Relocate dryer feed next to washing machine as to relocate dryer to right of washing machine ii) Provide new 4” rigid metal dryer exhaust duct, minimize length of run to “c” facade iii) Install vent hood on rear of home iv) Verify or replace existing flexible connection at appliance v) The new duct work shall be mounted with approved straps and connect to existing wall cap ( verify integrity or replace wall cap) B. Flue Pipe and liner a) The owner has received estimates for this work. The estimate is included in the bid sheet. The awarded contractor is responsible for scheduling, billing and paying the sub only. b) A1 Heating Exhaust Inc. Lance Stuart- (203)668-4821 5) Boiler (Alternate 1) A. Conditions: 1. All work shall be completed in a workman-like manner according to standard practices. 2. Any alteration or deviation due to unforeseen conditions will be addressed through a change order prior to commencing work. 3. The contractor shall be responsible for all permit fees, labor, material; and taxes related to the installation of the new oil-fired boiler. 4. The new oil-fired boiler shall be installed in compliance with all state, local, and federal codes pertaining to the installation of the proposed system. 5. Contractor accepts responsibility of all the work associated with the removal and installation of the specified new oil-fired boiler. B. Procedures: 1. Remove existing oil-fired boiler, including necessary piping and wiring and dispose of properly as required by the Town of Windsor. 2. Provide solid concrete masonry units to elevate new boiler a minimum of 4”. 3. Verify required size of boiler by performing a whole home heating load calculation. 4. Provide and install a new 86% minimum efficiency oil-fired boiler. a) Crown LT-TWD-075 Tankless Coil 3 Section Boiler b) Or an Approved equal 5. Include as part of the replacement any failing boiler piping and components. 6. Clean and inspect masonry chimney flue prior to firing the new system. 7. Verify or replace oil supply copper line and canister filter. 8. Include all necessary electric line/low voltage work as required. 9. The contractor will be responsible for any additional access work, rigging or staging to complete the project. 10. Test and fire system and refer to specifications for additional information.
