Specifications include, but are not limited to: The majority of the work will be filming current newspapers (9 years or less in age) held by the State Historical Society of Iowa (SHSI), quality control and inspection of the film, service copy duplications, and storing SHSI’s master films. It is expected that current national standards (see Attachment 5) will be followed. In addition, service copies of SHSI’s film collection will be marketed for public sale. Some work will also include duplication of 16mm and 32mm State of Iowa and County Records microfilms (25 years or more in age) held by the State Historical Society of Iowa (SHSI), quality control and inspection of the film, master and service copy duplications. It is expected that current national standards (see National Standards Attachment) will be followed.
