Specifications include, but are not limited to: 8 hours of helicopter time to transport guzzler tanks, personnel, various supplies, and pick up trash bundles to/from seven sites in Uintah County, UT. SPECIFIC TASKS Utah Division of Wildlife (UDWR) staff will have a pre-work conference with contractor to review and agree on a workday plan that maximizes use of helicopter and UDWR personnel time. Work shall be performed in an organized systematic manner as determined in the pre-work conference. UDWR will provide experienced ground crews at all staging areas and drop zones. UDWR staff have been involved in multiple projects similar to this one and will help the contractor streamline work in any way that helps maximize safety while minimizing loss of time. Helicopter must be capable of lifting personnel, wildlife guzzlers, and supplies (800-1,000 pounds min-max) in a timely manner to remote work sites. Hughes 500 helicopter is not sufficient and will not be acceptable. Larger ships, such as the Bell Ranger have proven very effective and fast for these projects. Must be carded for external loads / long line. Must have a fuel truck available at staging area at all times. Job must be completed in one day during a contiguous eight hour span of daylight. Project date may be re-scheduled due to poor weather conditions, breakdowns, etc. Helicopter must be able to sling loads that are a minimum of 800 pounds, not to exceed 1,000 pounds. Materials to be transported include UDWR personnel, large guzzler tanks, various size lumber, sheeting, and roofing materials, and assorted supplies. All loads will be bundled and secured by UDWR personnel in a way that is acceptable to the contractor. Weight of loads will not exceed 1,000 pounds.
