Specifications include, but are not limited to: Perform work as determined by Public Utilities associated with installation of new components and maintenance of existing components of the SCADA systems by performing tasks such as upkeep, repair, training, and programming. The intent of Public Utilities is as follows: Select a company to perform Public Utilities SCADA system maintenance and train Public Utilities employees in diagnostics, troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance, for a minimum of three years, with the option to renew for two additional one year periods upon agreement of both parties. Negotiate a contract that will be modified based on the anticipated required number of hours for that upcoming term. Set hourly rates and associated fees for ongoing maintenance and repair work. Rates may be adjusted as mutually agreed to on an annual basis. The selected company will be the initial point of negotiation as the need arises. However, Sandy City will reserve the right to negotiate with other companies if a contract cannot be successfully negotiated with the selected company. Public Utilities will also retain the right to terminate the agreement at any time for any cause with a 30 day written notice if it so desires.
