Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Supplier shall supervise and direct the work, using his best skill and attention. The Supplier shall at all times enforce strict discipline and good order among his employees, and shall not employ any unfit person or anyone not skilled in the task assigned to him. Subcontracted labor is not acceptable. 2. The Supplier warrants to CSD that all materials and equipment incorporated in the work will be new unless otherwise specified, and that all work will be of good quality, free from faults and defects and in conformance with the bid documents. All work not conforming to these standards may be considered defective. 3. The Supplier must provide local service techs that are employees, not subcontractors. 4. Labor billing for billable service must be in half hour increments. 5. The Supplier shall secure all permits, fees and licenses that may be necessary for the execution of the work. 6. The Supplier shall be responsible for the acts and omissions of all his employees, their agents and employees and all other persons performing any of the work under a contract with the Supplier. 7. The Supplier at all times shall keep the premises free from accumulation of waste materials or rubbish caused by his operations. At the completion of the work, the Supplier shall remove all his waste materials and rubbish from and about the project as well as his tools, equipment, machinery and surplus materials, and shall clean all glass surfaces and shall leave the work clean and free from any and all debris. 8. The Supplier shall indemnify and hold harmless CSD and their agents and employees from and against all claims, damages, losses and expenses including attorney’s fees arising out of or resulting from the performance of the work. *9. The Supplier will allow CSD to have the ability to order printer parts from awarded bidder for CSD’s own use. *10. CSD Information Technology (IT) department must have access to technical support from the Supplier. *11. Response time must average no more than four (4) hours. 12. CSD’s Printer Repair Specialist, (w) 801-826-5438 (c) 801-916-8180, must approve all service calls prior to dispatch. Repairs not pre-authorized by the Printer Repair Specialist may not be paid. Schools cannot authorize repairs. B. Printer Toner Cartridges HP OEM or compatible toner cartridges to be furnished at the District’s request. Includes delivery to the requesting location. See the specifications under RFP Section III, Product Specifications. B. HP Printer Service 1. Annual Cleaning * a) The Supplier is required to perform a printer cleaning of all major and highuse Printers during the summer months when school is out of session. This will be primarily all of our high-volume printers such as labs, counseling offices, registrar offices, etc. All printer cleanings will need the pre-approval of CSD’s Printer Repair Specialist, (w) 801-826-5438 (c) 801-916-8180. The Supplier must check in at the main office of each location when performing the service * b) Cleaning Procedure: (1)Remove and clean all covers and the cartridge(s) (2)Visually inspect the machine to see if there is any toner leakage from the toner cartridge(s). (3)Vacuum out the machine completely. (4) Reinstall the cartridge(s) and cover(s) after cleaning. If any repairs to the printer are needed, the procedure under Printer Repair (below) must be followed. D. Printer Repair 1. The school will call and place a work repair ticket with CSD. The Supplier will be contacted by the Printer Repair Specialist to diagnosis the printer. *2. All printer repair work must be pre-authorized by CSD’s Printer Repair Specialist. *3. Response time after receiving an authorization for repair will be an average of four (4) hours maximum. *4. The Supplier must accept a P-Card (VISA) card for payment of parts and labor. *5. If the repair is not completed on the scheduled date, the Printer Repair Specialist must be contacted with the details. *6. A quarterly maintenance report must be furnished on all printer repairs. The report may be submitted electronically to CSD, at printer.repair@canyonsdistrict.org. E. Printer Cleaning from Defective Cartridges *1. If at any time during the contract or contract extensions, a cartridge is leaking and that cartridge was supplied by the awarded bidder, the printer will be cleaned of all spilled toner and the cartridge replaced at no cost to CSD. *2. If within six (6) months of the award date of this contract, a cartridge leaks and was furnished by the previous Supplier on contract 18MN47P5, the awarded Supplier will clean the printer at no charge to CSD. The Supplier may sell the school or department a new cartridge if the school or department orders a new cartridge. The defective cartridge will be returned to the school in a sealed plastic bag. *3. After six (6) months from the award date, in the event of a non-Supplier cartridge leak, the awarded Supplier will clean the machine at the half (1/2) hour rate.
