Specifications include, but are not limited to: It shall be the responsibility of the successful civil and turf contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and tools necessary for the complete installation of a vertically draining porous stone base, drainage system and synthetic turf which shall convert the baseball and softball fields from existing natural grass. The scope of the project shall consist of but not necessarily be limited to the following: 2.1.1 Construction entrance installation and removal. 2.1.2 All required erosion control measures 2.1.3 Demo and installation of fencing will be completed by other vendors and is not part of the Scope of Work for the proposal. 2.1.4 Complete excavation of organic/existing materials, approximately 8” below proposed grade. Spoils are to be hauled off site. 2.1.5 Laser grade the subgrade to 0.5% - 1.0% slope 2.1.6 HDPE perforated perimeter pipe installed per drawings 2.1.7 Installation of geotextile fabric over the subgrade and within in perimeter drainage ditch 2.1.8 A vertically draining porous aggregate base consisting of two layers of specifically sized stone. The finishing layer is specifically designed to provide a tight uniform finish surface over the base layer without settlement. The subgrade, aggregate base and finish stone should only be installed using a laser guided dozer and proper finishing equipment. The subgrade, base stone and finish stone must be graded at +/- 0.25” tolerance.
