Specifications include, but are not limited to: The WORK consists of removing and disposing approximately 325 lineal feet of 4' wide sidewalk and replacing it with a new 6" thick 4' wide concrete sidewalk along First Avenue and Mission Street. A small strip of repaving is required to replace enough paving along the sidewalk to allow for concrete forms. The work includes: Removing and disposing of the existing sidewalk and a strip of asphalt paving along the sidewalk wide enough (approximately 12" wide) to allow for concrete forms. Furnishing, placing, grading, and compacting bed coarse aggregate. Form sidewalk, including joints every six feet, one driveway cut, and four ADA wheelchair cuts. There is no curb. The edge of the existing sidewalk is 4 inches above the pavement along 1st Avenue and flush with the pavement along Mission Street. Please raise the new sidewalk by 4 to 6 inches along Mission Street to match the existing concrete stair steps at the apartments. Place the new sidewalk along 1st Street at the elevation of the existing sidewalk. Cross-slope (two percent) the sidewalk to drain to the streets. Place and finish six-sack fiber-mesh concrete. Provide a stiff broom finish. Repave 2-inch thick asphalt, or place 6" thick concrete to match the existing asphalt and the new sidewalk.
