Specifications include, but are not limited to: KUMC seeks to procure services for the Sudler Building Brick Façade Repairs on the KUMC Campus in Kansas City, KS; Repair exterior brick façade, stabilizing exterior brick façade, and adding vertical/horizontal expansion joints. This work requires a qualified masonry contractor to repair the exterior brick façade of the Sudler Building by removing and replacing damaged brick on the East, South, and North elevations of the building. Stabilizing existing brick is required due to expansion by installing restoration helical type anchors at specified spacings around the East, South and West exterior. Installing vertical expansion joints at the locations indicated on the Contract Documents to relieve horizontal stress caused by brick expansion. Installing horizontal brick shelves at the floor levels shown on the Contract Documents around the entire perimeter to relieve vertical stress caused by brick expansion.
