Specifications include, but are not limited to: This sponsorship opportunity is being issued by the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General (OAG) and in accordance with KRS 45A.097. The purpose of this document is to solicit responses from one or more entities to assist in presenting the 2023 Kentucky Missing Children Training: It Saves to Know, which will be held in person September 6-8, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the Kentucky Exposition Center. The OAG will host an in-person conference to foster increased awareness of the dangers to children that run away and the tools available to locate missing children that may have crossed jurisdictional boundaries. This training will bolster law enforcement’s response to missing children’s investigations and leverages the abilities of stakeholders in improving the outcomes of the children once located. This training will challenge misconceptions about habitual runaways and aims to effect an institutional change in the dangers facing missing and runaway youth. Further, the training will provide professionals with an opportunity to listen and engage with national experts on missing children investigations and resources. We anticipate, 450-500 attendees, including local, state, and federal law enforcement officers and personnel, social service professionals, family resource youth service center professionals, child advocacy center staff, and child advocates. This threeday conference will include—among other activities—a variety of informative presenterled workshops, collaborative networking events, and speaker addresses.
