Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Regional Metropolitan Transit Authority of Omaha, d/b/a/ Metro requests quotes for Engine Overhaul. Staffing for this project is expected to be qualified, full-time technician(s) with proper training and qualifications to carry out the overhaul ISL9 CM2350 L101 to the current specifications of engine serial number 73614538 and 73614553. The Proposer will provide the two engine overhauls fault and trouble free and in like new condition. All engine lifters and fluids should be changed with the overhaul. Labor is to be done at the proposer’s facility. Metro is seeking request for qualifications from qualified Vendors with trained and qualified technician(s) for the engine overhaul of two Cummins Engines ISL9 CM2350 L101. Said engines are in bus number 1405 (vin 5FYD8KV00DC043420, serial number 73614538), and bus number 1407 (vin 5FYD8KV04DC043422, serial number 73614553). The year of both buses is 2014. Said vehicles have met or exceeded their useful half-life expectancy, and as a result, their need for maintenance and repair has increased. To continue their effectiveness and 12-year useful life their engines would need to be overhauled to their current specifications. During the overhaul of these two engines, all soft and consumable parts such as hoses, harnesses and clamps must be replaced with new parts. The existing vehicle 1405 VIN # 5FYD8KV00DC043420 and 1407 vin 5FYD8KV04DC043422 will keep all their components not replaced minus those needed for cores. Technician(s) must be Cummins engine certified, with verifiable experience working on ISL9 CM2350 L101 engines to maintain current engine specifications for Metro’s transit buses. o Cummins ISL9 CM2350 L101 engine to specification of ESN 73614538 and 73614553 including. o Main Bearings o Connecting Rod Bearings o Pistons and Rings o Cylinder Liners o Necessary Seals and Gaskets o Thermostat o New/ Remanufactured DN50 24v volt Generator o New/ Remanufactured Air compressor o New/ Remanufactured Turbo Charger o New/ Remanufactured Starter o The following engines parts should be inspected and reused if applicable. Their replacement/overhaul should not be included in the price of the base quote: o Cylinder Block o Crankshaft o Camshafts and Bushings o Connecting Rod Assemblies o Rocker Lever Assemblies o Cylinder Head Cap Screws
