Specifications include, but are not limited to: Description: EWEB is soliciting Engineering services from an engineering consulting firm to design and provide construction services for two new AWWA D110 potable water storage tanks to replace EWEB’s existing 15 MG water storage reservoir located in the College Hill neighborhood near 25th and Lawrence in Eugene, OR. The two new tanks, in conjunction with four identical tanks at different locations will provide water to EWEB’s water distribution system. In general, the work will include: • Demolition of the existing 607 and 603 concrete reservoirs and the 703 steel tank. • Earthwork for the construction of the new tanks. • Two new tanks with an inside diameter of 210 feet and a water operating depth of 30 feet with an overflow elevation of 607. The two new tanks, in conjunction with four other identical tanks, will provide potable drinking waterstorage for all of EWEB’s distribution system. • New access road around the tanks for maintenance activities. • A new transmission pipe from the storage tanks site to the existing transmission system near 24th and Amazon. • New stormwater infrastructure to accommodate the tank drains and overflows as well as to meet City of Eugene stormwater requirements. • Water quality monitoring and valve vault to house electrical equipment and new remotely actuated valves. • Backfilling of the tanks to the maximum extent possible to screen the tanks from nearby neighbors.
