Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFP is to ensure that more communities receive Technical Assistance, and to expand the areas of help beyond what is currently offered by DEQ program staff. CWSRF particularly wants to assist disadvantaged communities that have limited capacity, areas facing multiple environmental health risks, and communities most impacted by point source and nonpoint source water pollution. A top priority of the CWSRF program and across DEQ is to promote environmental justice. CWSRF recognizes the direct connections between environmental quality, economic success, and overall health and wellbeing. Through offering Technical Assistance, CWSRF wants to prioritize meaningful engagement and inclusion of communities facing disproportionate environmental harms and hazards, unequal depletion of natural resources, and degradation of ecosystems to eliminate and prevent these injustices from occurring. This Technical Assistance program aims to restore justice, advance equity and empower communities.
