Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Wolfeboro Municipal Electric Department (WMED) has undertaken a 2022 voter approved project to issue an invitation to bid for the replacement of their Utility Work Boat with a new fully equipped, aluminum, 24 ft. v-hulled, landing craft styled boat. The Municipal Electric Department currently serves 9 islands and approximately 130 customers located on Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Wentworth in the Towns of Wolfeboro and Alton, NH. This boat will be utilized as the primary transportation of personnel and equipment for maintenance, new construction, emergency response and power outages. This bid will be based upon a design-build collaboration with the Electric Department to meet their requirements while maintaining accepted and proven construction designs and techniques to ensure the utmost in safety and seaworthiness. Mounting positions and locations for accessories, tools, equipment, storage, and hardware shall be determined and approved before fabrication and installation.
