Specifications include, but are not limited to: Vendors are invited to quote unit prices on the outright purchase of Ballistic Shield Level IIIA supplies to be furnished and delivered to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) in Marion County, IN. Other departments and agencies of the City may also utilize this contract. All orders shall be on an as needed basis, subject to the availability of funding and budgetary considerations. All materials shall be new without flaws that affect appearance, durability, and function. The ballistic panels shall be constructed of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber or city approved equal. All ballistic shield armor shall be certified in accordance with the requirements for the National Institute of Justice NIJ- STD-0108.01.
