The INDOT Project Manager and the Consultant will schedule the Scoping Meeting within two (2) weeks of the Notice of Selection. The CONSULTANT shall be required to review all INDOT Bridge Inspection Field Reports as well as all previous Underwater Inspection Reports and to discuss these with the INDOT's Bridge Inspection Engineer as well as the District Bridge Engineer prior to conducting any inspections, to ensure that all of their concerns about suspected problems are known prior to inspecting the bridges. The CONSULTANT shall inform the INDOT Bridge Inspection Engineer and the District Bridge Engineer at least ten (10) working days in advance of the actual inspection so that these individuals or their assistants may make plans to be present during the inspection. Every effort shall be made to keep the District Bridge Engineer aware of the progress of inspections being done in his District. This is especially true of bridges over major waterways (due to security concerns INDOT needs to know when our agents are on site at these bridges).
