Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent and purpose of this Contract is to establish mutually acceptable terms between the City of West Des Moines (hereinafter called “City”) and the successful Contractor (hereinafter called “Contractor”) for the provision of snow removal and ice control services on City property in the Valley Junction Business District. The Contractor will remove snow accumulations from Valley Junction parking lots and alleys identified in orange on Exhibit 1. Snow and ice will be removed from drive lanes and empty parking spots during daytime hours as snow and ice is accumulating. However, the most efficient hours for snow removal in the Valley Junction Business District is 12:00 am to 7:00 am to ensure snow and ice has been removed from all required areas. The Contractor will remove snow accumulations from Valley Junction area sidewalks and walkways identified in green and yellow on Exhibit 1. Snow removal shall begin once snow has reached measurable accumulation or as directed by City staff. The Contractor will remove snow accumulations from Valley Junction City building entrances and handicap access areas identified in red on Exhibit 1. Snow removal shall begin once snow has reached measurable accumulation or as directed by City staff.
