Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Nashua, Division of Public Works, Wastewater Department is seeking sealed bids from contractors with experience in the removal of steel tanksto remove the lime silo at the Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 2 Sawmill Road, Nashua, NH. The lime silo is approximately 31 feet tall from the concrete footing to top of the tank and 12-feet diameter. Plans and pictures of the structure are shown in Appendices A and B. The weight of the structure is not known. The lime silo was built in 1972 and the paint on the tank was recently tested and was found to have lead, the results are shown in Appendix C. The federal government defines “lead-containing paint” exceeding 90 ppm as stated on the EPA website.
